Winter Survival Packs
Thanks to funding from Erewash Clinical Commissioning Group we have ‘Winter Survival Packs’ available free of charge to Erewash residents who may struggle to keep warm in their home over this coming winter. The pack includes the following items:
Packs are available to anyone who is vulnerable, elderly, frail, with a combination of physical, mental or social needs which makes them at high risk of hospital admission, falling, or preventable ill health during the cold period.
You can request a pack by contacting Kim 0115 9444146 where your need for a pack will be assessed. With your permission, we may also refer you to an Energy Advisor who may be able to provide further help with regards to keeping your home warm.
Community Concern Erewash can also clear the snow from a pathway to your property. This service is offered to those who are elderly, frail or have a long term health condition and is to help your Carer or family member reach your property to care for you.
We can also move your wheelie bin closer to your back door (for example) to reduce the chances of you slipping.
You can request the snow clearing service by contacting Kim 0115 9444146.
*snow clearing will be carried out provided that we are able to get to your property.
