Community Concern Erewash Luncheon club

We hold a Luncheon Club every Tuesday and Friday at the Pavilion in Cotmanhay. Lunch costs £2.50 and there is a raffle and bingo afterwards. Come and enjoy a home cooked meal with us.

We have around 32 regular clients attending our Luncheon Club on Tuesdays and Fridays, we also take meals out to at least 5 clients who are unable to attend. Those who do attend are supported in a friendly atmosphere where  residents can meet up to have a chat with other residents they would otherwise not see.  They enjoy each others company and social interaction.  Our Luncheon Club also gives those who have caring responsibilities much needed time out whilst the person they are caring for spends time at our club.

Our Luncheon Club team comprises Jane Wilson, Cook, Sheena Tomlinson Volunteer/Relief Cook, and Volunteers Stefan Wilks,  Cherry Hill, Barry Hill, Amy Clifton, Heather Carnall, Silvia Puxty, Anne Greeves, Lesley Rollinson, Hayley and Terry Dryden.

Refurbishment

During the refurbishment of the Pavilion, we held our Luncheon Clubs in the Church Hall at Christ Church, Vicarage Road, Cotmanhay.

Christmas Day in the……...HOT house!

On Christmas Day we hold a party at the Pavilion for those who want to enjoy company and a happy atmosphere. We collect those who want to come to the party and take meals out to others who are housebound. Meals include a full Christmas dinner, pudding and a buffet-style tea (and a present). This is always a wonderful day with staff and volunteers volunteering together to ensure that Christmas Day is really special for those who would otherwise not receive a hot nutritional meal on Christmas Day.

Christmas 2005We would like to thank all those who volunteer on Christmas Day and every one who makes kind donations to make Christmas Day really special.

For more details, please contact Jane Wilson, on 0115 9444146.

If you are a Carer, then why not give yourself a break and come along too and enjoy being waited on?

Please advise Jane or Elaine when booking if you require a Special Diet or Vegetarian Option.
