Friends of Primavara Centre - Partnership Working at its best!
Following a visit to a Centre for children with mental and physical disabilities, in Romania (arranged in conjunction with South East Derbyshire College),we have established a support organisation, the "Friends of the Primavara Centre". The centre is committed to providing support for children at risk in low-income families, through their "Nadis" programme.
In June 2006 as part of a team of 18 (from 5 countries) we visited the Centre again, where during the working sessions we all met the children, parents and grandparents being supported by the “Friends of the Primavara Centre”.
We currently have over 20 active sponsors, and are able to support 23 children and 1 disabled adult.
Young Friends of Primavera
A number of pupils at Bennerley School in Cotmanhay are now involved in supporting the project and are helping to raise funds.
We are continuing to raise funds for the Friends of Primavara Centre - if you would like to offer your support please contact Bren Davies on 0115 9444146, or send Bren an email
